Hurst Bow Bridge

This is a fine example of an early Victorian iron bridge. The photo shows the name of it's maker, Murch, and date 1848.
It also shows it after a brainless joy rider thought the funniest thing he could do was to drive a car he had stolen into the bridge in 2009 in a mindless fit of stupidity.
It has since been well restored at great public expense for us all to use and enjoy.

David Greenfield has written an excellent article on how it came to be re-built. Hurst Bow Bridge pdf
